Why do you talk to me harshly

hostility and anger in every word

no control on  your agitation

my faults and failures

thrown at me

to belittle

Why?

no thought

to my care

or that it hurts

to be treated so unkindly

your words striking like metal daggers

bludgeoning my already war-torn soul of love
